Positive: Beautiful historic building with a 19th century vibe. A large and pretty comfy bed. Central location next to Plaza Independencia and Palacio Salvo

Negative: The place needs some renewal but the affordable price rewards any shortcomings.

Positive: The hotel is very old and in a very walkable part of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, even without any English.

Negative: The noise from the street echoes, goes on all night, every night and is excessive. Only coffee is available in the morning. We would have gladly paid a little extra for breakfast as there are no places nearby offering breakfast.

Summary: A good budget choice in the old city. Bring your ear plugs!

Positive: The location was excellent with most major attractions just outside the door. The family did a lovely job presenting a varied, nutritious and colourful breakfast. When I got locked out of the hotel for a few hours due to an electronic card malfunction, the owner not only apologized profusely, but placed flowers in my room to say she was sorry. These people care a lot about their guests.

Negative: I prefer a key to an electronic card. They always work.

Summary: Small, intimate, historic setting... just what I like.
